Moi aussi, j'ai succombé au charme de la Petite Boîte Photo du nouveau site de photographies et illustrations d'art en édition limitée,  Wait Gallery.

J'avais une petite idée pour l'utiliser et puis, de recevoir donc la boîte et les photos m'a rassuré dans l’exécution de mon petit projet. 

Inspirée par une image que j'avais vu sur les réseaux sociaux il n'y a pas longtemps, la ficelle et les photos étaient parfaites pour l'idée de faire un moodboard.  

  

 

I too, gave into the charm of the Petite Boîte Photo of the new site for photographs and art illustrations in limited edition,  WaitGallery.

I had an idea of how to use it and so, receiving the little box and its' photos reassured me in moving forward on my tiny project.

Inspired by an image I had seen on social media not long ago, the string and the photos were perfect for the concept of making a moodboard.

Qu'est-ce donc La Petite Boîte Photo?
Il s'agit d'une collection de soit 15 petites photographies, soit 15 illustrations d'artistes, à accrocher à une ficelle avec des petites pinces (tous livrés avec) ou à exposer dans la jolie petite boîte, qui fait office de cadre également.

Pour ma part, j'ai choisi les "photos d'art capturées dans les plus beaux endroits du monde" car en les voyant sur le site de Wait Gallery, elles m'avaient immédiatement inspirées.

What is the La Petite Boîte Photo  (translates to: Little Photo Box ) ?
It's a collection of either 15 small photographs or 15 artists' illustrations, to hang with a string and small clamps (all included), or to expose in the pretty little box, which can also be a frame.

As far as I'm concerned, I chose the "artistic photographs captured in the most beautiful places in the world" because when I saw them on the site of Wait Gallery, they instantly inspired me.

One of my favorite photos, on the left top! It's a look through a broken window that creates an incredible image and a beautiful green color at the same time !

Restons encore un peu dans l'ambiance été et vacances, avec cette visite spéciale aux Pays Bas d'un petit caravan, etièrement relooké !
Let's stay in the summer - and holiday atmosphere, with a special visit in The Netherlands of this small caravan, entirely made over !

Après quelques années de camping avec une tente, Jasper et Lisanne avaient envie d'une caravane. Maintenant, ça fait déjà presque 3 ans qu'ils se sont acheté cette petite maison sur roulettes, d'à peine 6 m².

Ils ont trouvé la caravane sur un site internet de particulier à particulier aux Pays Bas et ils ont de suite peint l'extérieur dans les couleurs menthe et blanc

A l'intérieur ils l'ont redécoré entièrement avec autant d'objets neufs que second-main et vintage et les couleurs douces créent une ambiance plutôt mignonne. "C'est un peu comme une deuxième petite maison", disent Lisanne et Jasper.

After having gone camping several years with a tent, Japser and Lisanne felt like getting a caravan.
Now, it has been nearly 3 years that they bought this tiny home on wheels, of not even 6m².
They found the caravan on an internet website for private buying and selling in The Netherlands and they immediately painted the outside white and mint.

The entirely redecorated the inside with new items as well as second hand vintage finds and the soft colors create quite a sweet atmosphere. "It's a little like a second small home away form home" say Lisanne and Jasper.

Les conseils de Lisanne pour décorer des petites espaces:
* ' J'ai pris du papier d'emballage comme tapisserie d'un mur. Les dimensions et surtout les prix des papiers peints ne sont pas toujours comme on ne le voudrait, alors un joli papier cadeau fera aussi bien l'affaire. Si, après l'application, on met une couche de Mod Podge, de la colle blanche, ça marche aussi bien qu'un papier peint .'
* ' Osez! Mettez des couleurs et objets un peu insolites, que vous n'utiliseriez peut être pas si facilement chez vous. Si finalement ça ne plait pas, on peut plus facilement changer et refaire .'

Lisanne's tips for decoating small spaces:
* ' I've used a nice wrapping paper on the wall. The dimensions and moreover the prizes of wall paper aren't always as we would like, so a good looking wrapping paper might do as well. If, after puting it on the waal, you finish with alayer of Mod Podge, it'll stay on as well as real wall paper ."
* ' Be bold! Choose colors and items you wouldn't ordinarily dare to use at home. If the result doesn't please you, you can easily change or start over .'

Fun objects: sticky wall stories

Over the last 5 to 8 years a real trend in wall stickers has developed. I'm not a real fan of stickers for the walls, especially because I'd rather just paint something on a wall. However, for children's rooms I do find them often really sweet and funny and quite suitable, so if I were to buy some, it'd be for a children's room.

Depuis 5 à 8 ans, il y a une véritable tendance de stickers muraux qui s'est développée. Je ne suis pas vraiment fan des stickers sur les murs, surtout parce qu'une image, j'aurais plutôt envie de la peindre sur un mur. Cependant, pour les chambres d'enfant, je trouve que les stickers peuvent être vraiment mignons et rigolos et bien adaptés, alors si je devais en acheter, ce serait pour une chambre de bébé ou d'enfant.

Seriously? Another blogpost about interior ideas with pallets? YES.

I couldn't help myself, I came across so many ideas and also some new ones, new to me anyway.

Personnaly I've done the pallet-coffee-table-thing in my own home and I have to say, even though I feel everyone has seen it eveywhere, people still like it. 

Also I put mine on wheels and, honestly, that's so practical!

Vraiment? Encore un article de blog sur les palettes? OUAIS.

Je ne pouvais pas m'en empêcher. J'avais vu tellement d'idées et en plus quelques idées nouvelles,  en tout cas pour moi.

Personnellement j'ai fait la palette-comme-table-de-salon dans mon salon et je dois dire, même si j'ai l'impression que c'est du "vu et fait" de partout, on aime toujours.

Aussi, la mienne est sur des roulettes et, franchement, c'est tellement pratique!

For the three next ideas you have to be a little bit of a DIY-lover. But I assure you that they're all made out of ordinary pallets. I think all three are great.
Pour le trois idées ci-dessous il faut être un vrai bricoleur de dimanche quand même. Mais je vous assure que c'est tout fait à partir de palettes. Les trois objets sont vraiment bien.

Fun objects: 8 ways to use the Raskog

The other day we were at Ikea's, we're trying to find a new sofa.
I came across several Raskog's and I noticed, yet again, how simple and lovely its' design is.
I won't buy it cause I'm trying only to replace things and not to add any, the house is getting too full, unfortunately. But seriously, isn't it a great design, the Raskog?

L'autre jour, nous étions à Ikea, nous avons désespérement besoin d'un nouveau canapé.
Je suis passée à côté de plusieurs Raskog ​​et je me suis dit, une fois de plus, 'mais quel design simple et sympa'.

Industrial calendar DIY - by Lisanne

Scrolling down Instagram some time ago, I saw this home-made calendar by Lisanne /her Instagram. 

Quand je faisais défiler Instagram il y a quelque temps, j'ai vu ce calendrier fait-maison par Lisanne /son Instagram.

I contacted her to find out some more and in fact she made this fantastic DIY for the month of December but it hasn't left her stylish home (featured here on the blog of VT wonen) since.

Je l'ai contacté pour en savoir un peu plus et en fait, elle avait fait ce DIY génial pour le mois de décembre, mais elle ne l'a pas enlever de sa belle maison depuis.(trouvé sa maison ici sur le blog de VT wonen)

How to make this DIY?

- Buy a steel-reinforcement-grid (which are used for concrete) at the hardware store.

- Cut the grid to size (with a special cutter).

- Paint-spray the grid black (or the colour of your choice)

- Cut (black) cards from extra thick paper, size 11x11 cm (or adapt the size to your grid)   and make two holes with a hole punch.

- On the computer you create and print out the numbers and letters on plain white paper, the figures have a height of about 9 cm for the cards of 11cm. Cut out the figures and glue them on the black cardboard cards.

- Hang the cards with “divine twine” on the grid.

  

Comment faire ce DIY?

- Acheter un treillis soudé (normalement utilisé pour le béton) au magasin d’outillage.

- Couper la grille (avec un outil spécial) à la taille souhaité.

- Peindre la grille en noir (ou la couleur de votre choix) avec une bombe aérosol.
- Couper des cartes noires de papier très épais, de 11x11 cm (ou la taille adapté à votre grille) et faire deux trous avec un perforateur de bureau.
- Sur l'ordinateur créer et imprimer les chiffres et les lettres sur du papier blanc ordinaire. - Découper les chiffres et les coller sur les cartes de carton noir. Attacher les cartes avec de la ficelle ‘divine twine’ sur la grille.

I am so going to try this!!

Original Finnish apartment & it's ideas to steal.

I was thrilled to discover the new blog post on the Finnish blog Monday to Sunday Home by Païvi. The photos of the, as she calls it, vintage apartment are great. Lots of ideas to steal and a very amazing 'trompe-l'oeil'.

J'ai été ravie de découvrir le nouveau blog post sur le blog finlandais Monday to Sunday Home de Païvi. Les photos de l'appartement, elle dit vintage, sont géniales. Plein d'idées à copier et un 'trompe-l'oeil' remarquable.

A painted half-circle as eye-catcher and focus to a collage in the centre. An easy idea that really does the trick!

Une demie-cercle peint sur un mur, comme eye-catcher et pour accentuer un collage au centre. Une idée facile et ça fait vraiment son effet!

Ok, look closely !! There’s a trompe l’oeil of a window on the wall but that’s not all. The room has been made to look larger by drawing a wall and floor. Do you see it?

Ok, il faut bien regarder !! Il y a donc un trompe l’œil d’une fenêtre sur le mur, mais ce n’est pas tout. La pièce a été prolongée en dessinant plus de mur et même le sol. Vous le voyez ?

I like it when people make their home special and original by using old furniture and tricks and fun, etc. 

And this is such a great example. 

J'aime beaucoup quand on fait de sa maison un endroit spécial et original en utilisant des meubles anciens et des atsuces et de l'humour, etc. 

Et là, c'est vraiment un super exemple.
