Product-love: Chairmans Table

It might be ecological and also ergonomic (light in weight) and maybe even sustainable, but most of all I think it’s so cool.

What a great eye-catcher to have this Chairmans Table by the Australian company Karton as a desk in your house. It’s produced in Germany and I imagine even the transport to be in-expensive seeing as you can probably just flatten it.

As seen in the Kreuzberg apartment of Feride Uslu und Jan Mihm in Berlin.

Il se peut qu’il soit écologique et aussi ergonomique (léger en poids) et pourquoi pas durable, mais surtout, je trouve qu’il est plutôt cool.
Quel eye-catcher merveilleux  ce doit être d’avoir ce Chairmans Table, de la société australienne Karton, comme bureau dans la maison. Il est fabriqué en Allemagne et j'imagine que le transport ne devrait même pas être trop honoreux car on peut certainement juste l'aplatir .

Look inside: DECOuvrir design

 

A few months ago I discovered DECOuvrirdesign. This is the blog of the French-Brazilian Juliana de Giacomi (her last name is already a voyage, right?), in which she aspires to make us ‘discover’* what attracts her in design, architecture, travel, fashion, gastronomy and art.

I have had the pleasure of regularly visiting her blog to read her posts and recently she has even shared some photos of her apartment.
I really liked that because I think the decoration and interior of our home says a lot about who we are and so we got to know a little more about Juliana.

I'm very happy she agreed for me to also share the photos of her apartment, right here ...

Il y a quelques mois  j’avais découvert DECOuvrirDesign. C’est le blog de la franco-brésilienne Juliana de GIACOMI (rien que son nom fait voyager, non ?), dans lequel elle essaie de nous faire découvrir ce qu’il l’attire dans le design, l’architecture, les voyages, la mode, la gastronomie et de l’art.

Je me faisais un plaisir d’aller la lire régulièrement et il n’y a pas longtemps elle a même partagé des photos de son appartement.

J’ai beaucoup aimé car je trouve que notre intérieur dit beaucoup sur notre personnalité et donc on a pu savoir un peu plus sur Juliana.

Je suis ravie qu'elle a été d’accord pour que, moi aussi, je partage les photos de son appartement ici …

White AND black Parisian-subway tiles, great idea!

The Parisian subway tiles give a great though look to the kitchen.

The amount of light coming from the windows allow for a black wall.

 

The commen theme of her home decor are the posters and frames on all the walls. Juliana has  chosen  a black and white base and so the posters, photos and what-have-you make for color and movement, I really like it and also she can easily change them and thus vary as often as she wants.

Le fil rouge de son intérieur sont les affiches et cadres partout aux murs. Juliana a choisi une base de blanc et noir et donc les cadres, photos etc. mettent de la couleur et du mouvement. J’aime beaucoup et en plus elle peut facilement changer et donc varier quand elle le veut.

It was the absolute trend of 2011. But hey, it’s SO not over and it hasn’t been replaced.

Who finds this stuff? Who gets the idea of transforming a simple thing as  a mustache into a trendy inspirational item?

 I’m sure the designer’s imaginations will come up with other and new ways to surprise us with the theme and I just had to do a sum-up of what you can encounter in the interior design business alone, inspired by the illustrious Mustache

C'était la tendance absolue de 2011. Mais voilà, ce n'est TELLEMENT pas fini et pour l’instant tendance pas encore remplacée.

Qui trouve ces trucs ? Qui a l'idée d’utiliser une chose si simple qu’une moustache comme un article d'inspiration de tendance?  Je suis sûr que l'imagination des designers n’a pas fini de nous surprendre avec de nouvelles façons d’utiliser ce thème et j'avais juste l’envie de faire ce résumé de ce que l’on trouve rien que dans le monde du design d'intérieur, inspiré par l'illustre Moustache
