Personal interior: Eclectic loft in Chelsea, NY

When designer and entrepreneur Hussein Jarouche travels back and forth between his home of 300 m² in Sao Paolo, Bresil and his loft in New York, he really discovers the pleasure of 'downsizing' in lifestyle. The Chelsea apartment he uses when staying in the Big Apple is only 87 m² but he has a good feeling there because he has all he needs 'by hand'. Bedroom, living and kitchen are all in the same space. He choose this part of Manhattan because of the numerous art galleries, inspiring for his work as founder of the store and design company Micasa.

There’s patchwork of old plates of brass lamps on the ceiling, different kinds of animals hanging on the wall, vintage lights and teacups hover over the kitchen bench, with other countless industrial objects and furniture items filling the space with loads of character. Art by Alex Katz, James Rosenquist and Damien Hirst fills the rest of the bare walls. Like srsly. This place is too kool for skool.

Lorsque designer et entrepreneur Hussein Jarouche voyage entre sa maison de 300 m² à Sao Paolo au Brésil et son loft à New York, il découvre vraiment le plaisir du downsizing ** dans sa façon de vivre. L'appartement à Chelsea qu'il utilise lors de ses séjours à New York fait seulement 87 m², mais il s'y sent bien parce qu'il a tout ce qu'il lui faut 'à porter de main'. La chambre, le salon et la cuisine sont tous dans une même espace. Hussein a choisi ce quartier de Manhattan en raison des nombreuses galeries d'art, qui l'inspirent pour son travail en tant que fondateur du magasin et design-company Micasa.

I'm so impressed with this interior. It's super eclectic, there are things to be discovered everywhere, there is color, different art and a real mixture of modern and vintage furniture and yet, it is a very calm and easy apartment. 
A real example!

Je suis tellement impressionnée par cette intérieur. C'est vraiment éclectique, il a y des choses à découvrir partout, il y a de la couleur, de l'art varié et un réel mélange de meubles modernes et vintages et néanmoins, c'est un appartement très calme et abordable.
Un vrai exemple!
